Krasnodar activist Pyotr Lyubchenkov may be extradited to Russia

Activist Pyotr Lyubchenkov, against whom a criminal case has been initiated for calls for separatism, may be extradited to Russia.

5 April 2016, it became known that the Kuban activist, psychologist Pyotr Lyubchenkov, regarding which was initiated in Krasnodar criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 280.1 CC (public calls for violation of territorial integrity of the Russian Federation), threatens extradition from Ukraine.

Recall criminal cases against Krasnodar activists Darya Polyudova, Petr Lyubchenkova and Vyacheslav Martynov were excited in the summer of 2014 after trying conduct march for federalization in Krasnodar Kuban. Martynov and Lyubchenkov left for Ukraine, where Martynov managed to get political asylum, Polyudova was sentenced to st.st. 280.1 and 280 of the Criminal Code to two years of deprivation freedom. As it turned out, just like Polyudova, Lyubchenkov is charged with not administration groups for the federalization of the Kuban in the social network "VKontakte", and the publication in "VKontakte" of a picture with an image maps of Kuban, girls in national suit with the Ukrainian flag and the inscription that the ethnic Ukrainians of the Kuban want to join their region to Ukraine.

Lyubchenkov turned to Migration Service of Ukraine Odessa with asking for asylum, because it looking for the FSB. However, the Odessa authorities reported his whereabouts to the FSB Krasnodar, as a result of which the department resumed the case suspended due to the departure of Lyubchenkov, appealed to the Krasnodar court and in absentia received a decision on Lyubchenkov's arrest. The Odessa police prepared documents on his arrest and arrest. State Migration Service of Ukraine denied Lyubchenkov shelter, first attempt to challenge the denial in court was successful, then an activist challenged the decision of the court By case assigned on April 6, 2016.

Recall we consider it illegal and violating right to freedom of speech persecution for calls for separatism, if they are not accompanied by calls for violent actions.
