April 6, 2016 in Mari El Evgeny Pirogov, accused of
Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting ethnic hatred), was released on bail. On April 6, the Mari El Supreme Court overturned the decision of the city court dated March 24
2016 about
arrest of Yevgeny Pirogov and replaced the preventive measure with
recognizance not to leave. He is charged under part 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred).
The reason for initiating a criminal case was the publication of E. Pirogov (under the pseudonym "Zheka Russian") in
social networks "VKontakte". According to the defendant himself, about 10 pictures appear in the case. In particular, the "picture" with the inscription "We must protect the future of White children." The page also published a certain song from the "Federal List of Extremist Materials", which the man has already deleted.
In October 2015, Pirogov was sent to psychiatric hospital "for the production of inpatient commission psychiatric forensic examination for 30 days. Commission of Signs did not find a mental disorder and ruled that in the application he does not need compulsory medical measures.
Recall that Pirogov was twice brought to administrative responsibility for publishing a song by the Kolovrat group on the VKontakte social network.
Pirogov himself believes that he is being persecuted "for his convictions" and for his "opposition to local authorities."
