The case against Dmitry Demushkin has been sent to court

On April 13, 2016, a criminal case against one of the leaders of the "Russians" association was brought to court. nationalist Dmitry Demushkin. The reason for initiating the case was the appearance on his page in the social network "VKontakte" of a banner photo with "Russian March" 2014.

On April 13, 2016, the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the city of Moscow completed an investigation into the criminal case against Dmitry Demushkin. He is charged under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred or enmity). The criminal case with the approved indictment was sent to the court for consideration on the merits.

According to investigators, in the period from 2011 to 2013, Demushkin posted in the public domain on his page, "a number of articles of extremist content with the aim of inciting hatred and enmity towards a certain group of people." According to the nationalist himself, the reason for initiating the case was the appearance on his page in VKontakte of a photograph of a banner from the Russian march" in 2014. Previously, Dmitry Demushkin was the leader of the banned organizations "Slavic Union (SS)" and "Russian Ethno-Political Organization".
