UBEP in the Moscow Region searches in the central office of the Russian unit of the Swedish IKEA, which is located at the Khimki Business Park business center on the Leningrad highway, Interfax reports with reference to the company's lawyer Semen Shevchenko.

“We perceive what is happening as part of the campaign to seize the land on which the IKEA central office is located in Russia. Today's search and recent initiation of a criminal case against IKEA, initiated by KSHP Khimki, of course, are the links of one chain. At the same time, law enforcement agencies became actually a raider attack on IKEA, ”the company’s lawyer said.

Earlier, Kommersant reported that a criminal case was opened against IKEA under the article “Fraud on an especially large scale”.

According to investigators, some persons close to the Russian representative office of the Swedish concern Ikea Hanim LTD LLC are suspected of taking possession of a dispute in 16 hectares “fraudulently” according to a fake document.
