The altered poem "Do the Russians want war?" is prohibited.

In December 2015, a court in Grozny declared a poem condemning Russia's foreign policy to be extremist.

On April 15, 2016, from the next update of the Federal List of Extremist Materials, it became known that on December 22, 2015, the Zavodskoy District Court of Grozny recognized the altered poem "Do Russians Want War?" as extremist.

The banned text is a work condemning the actions of the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation during wars and during the suppression of uprisings in neighboring states.

We got acquainted with the poem and came to the conclusion that its ban can hardly be called justified. Although formally the work refers to the bloodthirstiness of the Russians, it is rather not about the Russian ethnic group, but about the collective image of the foreign policy of the Russian state. The poem does not contain calls for violent actions.

On July 7, 2016, it became known that on the basis of the Zavodskoy District Court of Grozny, the page of the website of the Forbes Ukraine magazine was included in the Unified Register of Banned Websites, in the comments to which a poem was published by a certain network user.
