Yelets: fine for publishing extremist materials on the social network VKontakte

In April 2016, in the Lipetsk region, a resident of Yelets was brought to administrative responsibility for publishing extremist materials on a social network.

On April 15, 2016, the prosecutor's office of the Lipetsk region announced that a resident of the city of Yelets was brought to administrative responsibility under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (production and distribution of extremist materials).

According to the materials of the case, a resident of Yelets posted in the public domain on the social network VKontakte a link to an informational material recognized as extremist. The prosecutor filed an administrative case against the young man.

The offender was brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine of 1500 rubles.
