The Other Russia activist was brought to justice under Art. 20.3 Code of Administrative Offences.
On April 21, 2016, the Severodvinsk City Court fined Valery Sheptukhin, journalist and activist of the Other Russia party Eduard Limonov, one thousand rubles under Art. 20.3 Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda or demonstration of Nazi symbols). The reason was that Sheptukhin published photographs and drawings depicting a swastika on his page on the VKontakte social network.
From our point of view, Sheptukhin was fined wrongfully because he used historical photographs and other images with swastikas as a polemical means - being a supporter of the DPR, he accuses the current Ukrainian authorities of fascism. In this case, his actions were not aimed at promoting Nazism.
