
The former vice-governor of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Yezhov, who oversaw the issues of urban planning, was detained as part of a criminal case, RIA Novosti reports with reference to a source in the regional law enforcement agencies. Information confirmed in the regional SU TFR .
The criminal case was instituted on the fact of abuse of authority by officials of the Department of Urban Planning of the Primorsky Territory and the administration of the Primorsky Territory in the implementation of payment of construction and installation works under the state contract (part 3 of article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), the website of the Investigative Committee was indicated.
According to the investigation, in March 2013, the Department of Urban Planning of the Primorsky Territory and the commercial organization entered into a contract for construction and installation work on fire protection. The work on the specified state contract was not fully completed, however, from March to December 2013, Yezhov, knowing about this, signed the acts of acceptance of the work performed and instructed to pay more than 24, 5 million rubles, which entailed the damage to the budget of the Primorsky Territory for this amount.
In the apartment and at the place of the former work of the suspect, searches were carried out, documents were seized. Currently, the issue of the election of a preventive measure against Yezhov is being decided, in the near future he will be charged.
