Passing motorists called an ambulance. The victim was hospitalized, but two days later she died in intensive care. The medical examiner recorded numerous injuries to the deceased, including severe traumatic brain injury, fractures of five ribs and the chest.
In April 2017, one of the attackers received eight years in prison. The rest became witnesses in the case.
