Oktyabrsky District Court of Belgorod sentenced Imam Faizulla Ismailov to three years in prison for possession of ammunition.
On May 10, 2016, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Belgorod ruled guilty verdict Faizulla Ismailov , imam of the "Peace and Creation" mosque. He found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal storage of ammunition) and part 1 of Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal possession of explosives) and sentenced to three years of imprisonment in a penal colony.
In December 2015, two TT pistols, a revolver, three cartridges, a grenade, and also explosives. February 2016 the imam was fined for possession of extremist literature.
The process was held behind closed doors, so it is not known whether F. Ismailov admitted guilt. The verdict has not entered into force.
On May 26, 2016, it became known that F. Ismailov appealed the verdict. The appeal must be considered by June 12. Sources
