Wada is investigating the use of doping at the Sochi Olympics

The World Anti-Doping Agency will investigate the facts of using doping by Russian athletes participating in the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014.

The accusations were made by the former Rusad employee Vitaliy Stepanov in an interview, which he gave the CBS program “60 minutes”. According to him, at least four Russian athletes who received "gold" at the Olympic Games in Sochi used steroids.

Stepanov refers to Skype conversations with the former head of the Moscow Anti -Doping Laboratory Grigory Rodchenkov. The channel claims that he has a record of these conversations. According to Stepanov, Rodchenkov told him that the FSB agents passed themselves out for anti-doping control officers at the Sochi Olympics and tried to control every step in the analysis of doping tests.

Stepanov also told CBS that Rodchenkov handed him a list of athletes convicted of doping.

Wada said she was going to immediately begin the investigation. According to the statement, the head of Wada Craig Ridi, the agency interrogated Rodchenkov a year ago about the doping scandal in athletics, he did not tell the agency about the possible use of doping in Sochi.
