More suspects in collaboration with Hizb ut-Tahrir have been detained in Crimea

Four residents of Bakhchisarai accused of propaganda terrorism for cooperation with Hizb ut-Tahrir.

On May 12, 2016, four suspects were detained in Bakhchisarai in involvement with Hizb ut-Tahrir. Three criminal charges have been filed according to part 2 of Art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in activities of a terrorist organization), in relation to one more - under part 1 Art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization terrorist activities).

According to Crimean Prosecutor Natalya Poklonskaya, one of detainees “carried out on the territory Bakhchisaray covert anti-constitutional activities in the form of propaganda work among the population. Encouraged local residents to participate in activities specified terrorist organization, directed these activities, organized and conducted conspiratorial meetings .

Previously, suspects in crime were repeatedly detained in Crimea. cooperation with Hizb ut-Tahrir. Some cases have gone to court .

On May 13, 2016, the court authorized the arrest of all four detainees - Enver Mamutov (part 1 of article 205.5), Remzi Memetov, Zevri Abseitov and Rustem Abiltarov (part 2 of article 205.5).
