In the Novosibirsk region, an investigation has been completed against Maxim Kormelitsky in the case of the publication of anti-Christian comments on the Internet.
On May 11, 2016, in Berdsk, the investigation of a criminal case initiated under Part 1 of Art. 282 (inciting hatred) in connection with the posting of anti-Christian comments and photographs of Orthodox citizens jumping into the hole in a social network. The investigation established that in January 2016, 21-year-old Maksim Kormelitsky posted on his page on the social network VKontakte a photograph “depicting people swimming in an ice hole”, accompanying it with a comment “offending the dignity of a person and a group of persons on the grounds of an attitude towards Christianity” and containing foul language.
It is also known that the suspect was found guilty in the case of inciting ethnic hatred and sentenced on probation. In January 2016, the sentence had not yet expired.
Note that Maxim Kormelitsky repeatedly had problems with the law. By the age of 19, he had already received four convictions: for exceeding self-defense, extremism, an illegal procession and a deliberately false report about an impending explosion (planted a dummy bomb in the Department for Youth Affairs, located in a residential high-rise building in the center of Berdsk).
In April of this year, a criminal case was initiated against Kormelitsky for stealing a system unit from the New York Pizza office in the center of Berdsk.
