Andrei Yanushas was sentenced in Murmansk for posting xenophobic videos and images on the VKontakte social network.
In June 2016, the Leninsky District Court of Murmansk delivered a sentence under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting ethnic hatred) in the criminal case against Andriy Yanushas.
According to investigators, Yanushas posted videos and images in free access on his personal page on the VKontakte social network. According to the act of expert research, the materials " contain linguistic and psychological signs of inciting enmity, hatred (discord) in relation to a group of persons identified on the basis of nationality ."
The Leninsky District Court of Murmansk of the case passed a guilty verdict, Yanushas was sentenced to 1 year 7 months 7 days of suspended liberty, with a probationary period of 2 years. Video files from the social network have been removed.
