A court in the Oryol region blocked an anonymizer

The Kromskoy District Court granted the prosecutor's claim to block the anonymizer.

On June 8, 2016, the prosecutor's office of the Oryol region announced that the Kromsky district court had satisfied the claim of the prosecutor of the Trosnyansky district to block the anonymizing website. About what service there is a speech, it is not informed.

The prosecutor's office substantiated its demand for the recognition of information on the anonymizer site as prohibited by the fact that it can be used to gain access to sites with materials that are recognized as extremist.

Note that anonymizers themselves do not contain any prohibited information. Access to prohibited materials can also be carried out through other tools, including through a conventional search engine, since it has not yet been possible to completely remove them from the global network - however, this possibility is not a reason to close access to search engines. In this regard, we consider the decision to block the anonymizer unlawful.

Previously, decisions to block anonymizers twice were made by the Anapa City Court and once by the Central District Court of Kemerovo. In addition, the prosecutor's office in Murmansk demanded to block 13 anonymizers .
