Moscow's "Stupa of the Three Jewels" is recognized as an illegal construction

June 2016 year it became known that the Buddhist stupa "Three Jewels", located in the courtyard of the International Roerich Center on Znamenka (Moscow, Maly Znamensky pereulok, d. 3/5), recognized it as an illegal construction.

Mortar was built in 2008 at the expense of the Tibet House in Moscow, a Nepalese Tsewang Janchub Gatselling monastery, as well as private individuals and was donated to the Museum Roerich as an exhibit.

Buddhists followers of Nicholas Roerich and the public fear its demolition. Representatives of the Ministry of Culture are ready to meet with them on June 21 at the Museum of Oriental Art.
