A resident of the city of Klintsy was fined for distributing the book "What Does the Bible Really Teach?".
On June 16, 2016, the prosecutor's office of the Bryansk region reported that the Klintsovsky city court fined under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (mass distribution of extremist materials) to a 43-year-old local resident. It follows from the court ruling that Zh. Navrotskaya was fined 2,000 rubles.
It is alleged that in April 2016, a resident of Klintsy distributed in the city the Jehovah's Witnesses' publication What Does the Bible Really Teach?, which is included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials. Navrotskaya failed to appeal the court's decision to a higher instance.
We consider the ban on the literature of Jehovah's Witnesses and the persecution of believers for distributing it unlawful, and we perceive these actions of the authorities as religious discrimination.
