Barnaul: a verdict was passed against a xenophobic school teacher

In June 2016, in the city of Barnaul, Altai Territory, the court sentenced to 2 years in prison and probation pedagogical activity of a 28-year-old school teacher who published in Internet xenophobic materials calling for violence.

In June 2016, in the city of Barnaul, Altai Territory, a verdict was passed in the case of inciting ethnic hatred (part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code) and public calls for extremism (part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code).

In the dock was a 28-year-old school teacher, which, according to law enforcement agencies, published on his page in Internet some xenophobic images with captions that called for violence against members of certain ethnic groups.

Details, unfortunately, were not reported.

The court found the young man guilty and sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment on probation with deprivation of the right to engage in pedagogical detail for 1.5 years.

It is not very clear why the court issued a separate decision on prohibition to engage in pedagogical activities for the convict. Recall that labor the code already prohibits people who have a criminal record for crimes against the foundations of the constitutional order and security states (these also include Article 282 of the Criminal Code and Article 280 of the Criminal Code) (for details, see 331 of the Labor Code).
