In Chelyabinsk, suspects of involvement in Hizb ut-Tahrir are charged with terrorism

In the Chelyabinsk region, the case of four people was brought to court accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization. Consequence considers them involved in Hizb ut-Tahrir.  

On June 21, 2016, it became known that the prosecutor's office Chelyabinsk Region transferred to the Moscow District Military Court a criminal case in regarding Rishat Girfanov, Danil Kunakbaev, Denis Zagitdinov and Vasily Tkachev. They are charged under Part 2 of Art. 205.5 UKRF (participation in activities terrorist organization).

According to investigators, all four are members of Hizb. ut-Tahrir”, kept the materials of this organization at the place of residence, led promotional work to attract new members.

Recall that the persecution of members of Hizb ut-Tahrir on anti-terrorist articles and accusing them of terrorism only on the basis of party activities (holding meetings, reading literature, etc.) we consider unlawful.   Sources
