Fines for video files on social networks

In Perm, two people were fined for sharing video files on a social network.

In June 2016, the Industrialny District Court of Perm fined under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (production and distribution of extremist materials) two people.

In the social network "VKontakte" on the pages of two users, video files were found in the public domain. These materials were included in the federal list of extremist materials by the decisions of the Blagoveshchensk City Court of the Amur Region of May 18, 2015 and the Kominternovsky District Court of Voronezh of February 16, 2012.

In connection with the revealed violations, the prosecutor of the district initiated cases of an administrative offense against these young people.

At the court session, they fully admitted their guilt, at the request of the prosecutor, extremist materials were removed from the page on the VKontakte social network.
