In the Stavropol Territory, a case was brought to court against a minor for xenophobic materials on a social network.

In June 2016, the Kirovsky MSO of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Stavropol Territory completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 17-year-old young man accused under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred or enmity).

According to the investigation, from September 2015 to February 2016, the defendant published in free access on the page of one of the social networks "video materials, songs, texts and images of an extremist nature aimed at inciting ethnic hatred and enmity."

This criminal case was initiated on the basis of materials received from the department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Investigative Committee and the department of the Ministry of Defense in the region of the Caucasian Mineral Waters (Pyatigorsk city) of the Center for Pediatrics of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Stavropol Territory.

The criminal case with the indictment approved by the prosecutor was sent to the court for consideration on the merits. Sources
