In Ryazan, a local resident was given a one and a half year suspended sentence for speaking at a rally.

In Ryazan, a sentence was passed under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred). The sentence was handed down for public speaking at rally, "during which the speaker added statements aimed at incitement of enmity towards non-Russians". The court sentenced him to imprisonment for a period of 1 year 6 months conditionally.

This became known on June 24, 2016 at an expanded meeting of the collegium of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Ryazan region on the effectiveness of the work of the investigating authorities in countering extremist crimes.
