In the Moscow region, a court ordered the demolition of a UOC-KP temple

In Noginsk, the court ordered an Orthodox parish belonging to jurisdiction of the Kyiv Patriarchate, demolish the current since the 1990s. temple.  

At the end of June, the city court of Noginsk satisfied the claim of the district administration, which demanded the demolition of the Trinity Church, which is under the jurisdiction of the Kyiv patriarchy. The court agreed with the arguments of the administration that the temple on this the land was built illegally.

According to priest Svyatoslav Skorokhod, the parish has all necessary building permits. The temple has existed since early 1990s, and in 1994, his then rector, together with parishioners decided to transfer to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Kiev patriarchy).

After the start of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict in the city, distribute anti-parish leaflets in local media published defamatory material.

The parish intends to appeal the decision.
