In Samara, a court ruled to fine and expel from Russia an American priest who arrived on a tourist visa.

July 9, 2016 Soviet District Court of Samara Decided to fine for violating immigration laws and deport from Russia by American priest James Francis Mulcahy. The amount of the fine is 2 thousand rubles.

According to journalists, the priest arrived to Russia, including in order to marry a homosexual couple, but tourist visa. The lawyer of the detained priest refutes this information. and plans to appeal the ruling.
