In Saratov, the prosecutor's office is seeking to block anonymizers

The prosecutor's office of the Kirovsky district of Saratov filed lawsuits with a demand to restrict access to anonymizers.

14 July 2016 the prosecutor's office of the Saratov region region reported that the prosecutor's office Kirovsky district of Saratov applied to court with claims for restriction of access to an unknown number of anonymizing sites and their inclusion in the Unified Register of Prohibited sites. The prosecutor's office substantiated its actions by the fact that with the help of anonymizers citizens can receive unlimited access to prohibited materials, including extremist.

Note that anonymizers themselves do not contain no prohibited information. Access to prohibited materials may be carried out through other tools, including through the usual search engine since delete them from the global network completely yet fails - however, such an opportunity not grounds for closure access to search engines. Due with this we consider blocking decisions anonymizers illegal.

Tem at least, the number of cases of blocking anonymizers at the request of prosecutors different Russian regions is growing.

In the fall of 2016, it became known that one of the claims of the prosecutor's office, which was satisfied by the court, concerned the HideMe.ru resource.
