In Bashkiria, fans of virtual games have been banned from catching Pokemon on the territory of the Ar-Rahim mosque.

On July 21, 2016, the Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Bashkiria announced that Pokemon lovers had no access to the territory of the Ar-Rahim mosque under construction in Ufa, where virtual pets used to be caught.

In addition, he said, Muslims "intend to appeal to the creators of Pokemon Go with a demand to ban the catching of virtual creatures in the territory of mosques."
