The survey was conducted by the SVOI sociological agency (commissioned by Perm City Duma deputy Alexei Demkin) among residents of Krisanov, Golev, Plekhanov, Blucher streets and Kosmonavtov Highway.
70% of the survey participants were against the construction of an Islamic center. At the same time, 65% did not know about the construction before the start of the interview.
According to sociologists, " residents are afraid that the appearance of this facility will contribute to the further formation of a migrant enclave in the microdistrict behind the market ."
Recall that the residents of Perm began collecting signatures against the construction of a mosque in June 2016. The protests were sent to the authorities, including the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District.
