Fine for the film “The Eternal Jew” on social networks

In the Tula region, a resident of Bogoroditsk was fined 1,500 rubles for the film "The Eternal Jew" on the social network.

In August 2016, the Bogoroditsky District Court of the Tula Region considered the case under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (mass distribution of extremist materials included in the published federal list extremist materials, as well as their production or storage for the purpose of mass distribution) in relation to a local resident.

According to the materials of the case, the defendant posted in free access on the social network "VKontakte" a link to the film "The Eternal Jew", which was recognized as extremist by a court decision of May 25, 2004.

The man partially admitted his guilt in committing an administrative offense. He stated that he did not know that the information posted on his page was recognized as extremist. The court found him guilty and imposed a fine of 1,500 rubles on him.
