Chelyabinsk: a verdict was passed in the case of publishing xenophobic materials on a social network
In September 2016, in Chelyabinsk, the court sentenced deprivation of liberty of the former prisoner V. Khodyrev, who published in social networks xenophobic materials. In September 2016, Chelyabinsk sentenced the case of inciting ethnic hatred (part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code).
In the dock was a local resident Vadim Khodyrev, who, according to the investigation, from October 2013 to June 2015 published xenophobic materials on his page in the social network, directed against immigrants from the Caucasus and Central Asia.
At the same time, in the period from June 2014 to July 2016, V. Khodyrev served his sentence in a correctional facility.
The court found the young man guilty and sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment conditionally, with a probationary period of 2 years.
