​Racism and xenophobia. Results of September 2016

In September 2016, from attacks by far-right at least 8 people were injured in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Omsk region and Krasnodar Territory. 4 people have died from racist violence since the beginning of 2016 and 43 people were injured or beaten, 3 received serious death threats. Racist attacks were recorded in 11 regions of Russia.

In September, xenophobic vandals injured five objects in the Kaliningrad and Kemerovo regions, the Perm Territory and the Republic Tatarstan. It should be noted that in Kaliningrad fraternal churches were desecrated twice in a week. graves and a monument to the fallen soldiers, located not far from each other.

In total, since the beginning of the year, we have recorded no attacks less than 26 objects in 17 regions of the country.

Raid activity continued in September nationalists. So, on September 14 in Moscow, the Citadel project, headed by the leader Vladimir Ratnikov conducted a raid to find places of illegal trade in melons and watermelons.

The nationalists, as far as possible, took participation in the elections to the State Duma, which took place on September 18.

The Rodina party received a new convocation one mandate - party leader Alexei Zhuravlev won in Annensky single-mandate constituency of the Voronezh region (there was no candidate from the United Russia"). Proposed in the same constituency from the Green Party Valentin Bobrov (National Conservative movement) took the fifth place out of 10 possible in the elections.

Sergei Baburin (Russian People's Union), nominated in the Tushino single-mandate constituency (Moscow) from the Communist Party, took 4th place in the elections out of eleven.

Maria Katasonova (National Liberation Movement Evgenia Fedorova), nominated in the Central single-mandate district (Moscow), took 8th place out of 13.

Aleksey Samokhin (OD "Honor and Freedom"), who ran for 157 Skopinsky constituency (Ryazan region) from the Parnassus party, took 8th place out of 10 in the elections.

In September, one sentence was handed down for violence, in which the motive of hatred was taken into account. In the Moscow region, a group of six far-right, who staged the "white car" rally, was sentenced to various terms of imprisonment.

Since the beginning of the year, there have been at least 14 sentences were handed down against 38 people in 12 regions of the country.

For xenophobic propaganda in September 2016 at least 10 sentences were handed down in 8 regions of the country against 10 people. Noteworthy is the sentence to the already mentioned former leader of the RFO "Memory" and the leader of the Moscow branch of the Committee "Nation and freedom" (KNS) to Vladimir (Ratnikov) Komarnitsky. September 27, 2016 was he was sentenced to a suspended sentence of one year for publishing in the social network of songs of the groups "Kolovrat" and "Gangs of Moscow".

In total, in 2016, in cases of racist propaganda received at least 141 sentences against 157 people in 56 regions of the country.

During September, the Federal List extremist materials was replenished three times (September 2, 9 and 29), it included included pp. 3189-3877. The list was supplemented by videos of Nazi skinheads and Muslim fighters from social networks, reposts on the Internet page E.
