
Russian President Vladimir Putin satisfied the request of the acting governor of the Kaliningrad region Evgeny Zinichev and transferred him to another job. According to Interfax, this was stated by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.
According to Peskov, Zinichev asked the president to transfer in connection with family circumstances.
Anton Alikhanov, who heads the Government of the Kaliningrad Region, was appointed the new acting head of the region.
According to Peskov, the corresponding decree will be signed in the near future.
