The Tverskoy Court of Moscow dismissed the Jehovah's Witnesses' complaint against a warning against extremist activity.
12 October 2016 Tverskoy the Moscow district court refused Jehovah's Witnesses in their demand to recognize illegal warning about inadmissibility carrying out extremist activities, issued by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation to the Management center of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia.
Recall warning Witness Administration Center Jehovah announced 2 March 2016 Deputy General Prosecutor of Russia Viktor Grin. April 29 In 2016, the organization filed a complaint Attorney General, but I received a response from him within a month.
Jehovah's Witnesses pointed out that the warning The Prosecutor General's Office contains significant legal contradictions. In particular, in it stated that 88 editions of the Witnesses Jehovahs recognized by Russian courts extremist. However, the authorities prosecutors who themselves initiated recognition of these materials as extremist, have never declared Managerial center of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia as an interested person in court and consistently objected to it entry into processes.
According to federal law "On counteraction extremist activity" the warning will not be recognized by the court illegal, and indicated in the warning prosecutor's office violations will not be eliminated, or if in the activities of the Management center of Jehovah's Witnesses will be found new signs of extremist activities, the organization is subject to liquidation.
We consider the liquidation of organizations Jehovah's Witnesses for extremism, persecution of members of their communities and bans texts as religious discrimination.
