The local community of Jehovah's Witnesses is banned in Birobidzhan

The community of Jehovah's Witnesses has been declared extremist for possession of banned literature.

October 3, 2016 the court of the Jewish Autonomous Region ruled decision to ban a local religious organizations of Jehovah's Witnesses in Birobidzhan as extremist. occasion served the fact that the head of the community was twice, in 2015 and 2016, fined under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for possession of prohibited brochures for the purpose of their dissemination, and in addition organization has been warned on the inadmissibility of extremist activities. Recall that in 2016 believers declared that literature had been planted on them, and they tried to appeal against the decision on administrative punishment of the head of the community.

Chairman Committee of the LRO of Jehovah's Witnesses in Birobidzhan claims are not recognized that the decision had not entered into force and can be appealed to the Supreme Court RF.
