An illegally banned book was found in the mosque of Imai-Karmaly village.
On September 21, 2016, the Davlekanovsky District Court of the Republic of Bashkortostan fined 1,000 rubles under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (storage of extremist materials for the purpose of mass distribution) of the chairman of the council of the local Muslim religious organization "Mahalla" in the village of Imai-Karmaly Rafit Kharisov.
The reason for the persecution of Kharisov was that during the prosecutor's check in the mosque of the village of Imai-Karmaly, the book "The Future Belongs to Us" by Seyid Kutba was discovered. the Krasnoyarsk District Court of the Astrakhan Region in 2012 This publication was recognized as extremist by and included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials. Kharisov explained in court that part of the literature for the Imai-Karmaly mosque was obtained from another mosque, and the builders could have left the forbidden book.
We believe that the book "The Future Belongs to Us" was recognized as extremist wrongfully. We did not find any inflammatory appeals in it, and statements about the truth of Islam and criticism of other religions and their adherents do not fall under the notion of incitement to hatred. Therefore, from our point of view, the persecution of Kharisov is also unlawful.
