Religious figures became members of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation

The Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation included representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church and Spiritual Board of Muslims.  

On October 18, 2016, Vladimir Putin approved two religious figures members of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

It included, in particular, the head of the Synodal Department for Relationship of the Church with Society and the Media Vladimir Legoyda and First Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia Damir Mukhetdinov. Sources
