On October 13, 2016, a criminal case regarding the murder of journalist Dmitry Tsilikin was brought to court in St. Petersburg.
On October 13, 2016, in St. Petersburg, the investigation of the case was completed against a student of one of the city’s universities, 22-year-old Sergei Kosyrev, accused under Part 1 of Article 105 (murder) of the Criminal Code, paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code (theft). Kosyrev is suspected of murdering a journalist. The criminal case has been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
Let us recall that journalist Dmitry Tsilikin was found dead in his apartment in St. Petersburg on Nauki Avenue on March 31, 2016. Experts found about ten stab wounds on his body. Death occurred on March 27. The criminal took with him the journalist's mobile phone, his laptop and 43 thousand 500 rubles and left, locking the apartment. In early April 2016, investigators detained Sergei Kosyrev on suspicion of murder. During the next interrogation, the suspect said that the investigator could address him as a “ cleaner ,” he called his life path “ a crusade against a certain social group (LGBT), and the feeling with which he allegedly killed Tsilikin was not hostility, as is written in the protocol, but hatred ".
However, despite this, investigators brought charges of theft and domestic murder.
