In October 2016, the Pskov regional court upheld the September 2016 sentence against Georgy Pavlov (Gosha Ariyts).
On October 26, 2016, the Pskov Regional Court considered a complaint against a sentence handed down on September 1, 2016 against local far-right activist Georgy Pavlov (Gosha Ariyets).
Recall that then the Pskov City Court found him guilty of inciting ethnic hatred (part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced him to 250 hours of compulsory labor. The case was initiated on the fact of the publication of certain xenophobic images on the Internet. The Pskov Regional Court upheld the decision of the district court, and the verdict remained unchanged.
Recall that this is not the first sentence under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code against Georgy Pavlov. In December 2000, he was sentenced to 5 and a half years of probation for inciting ethnic hatred, as a participant in the attacks on the Pskov Free University and the Baptist Church. In 2014, he took part in the local "Russian March" organized by the "Pskov Russian Republic".
