Deputies of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan have prepared proposals to amend Article 239 of the Criminal Code (creation of a non-profit organization that infringes on the personality and rights of citizens). The proposals of the deputies will be sent to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
On October 25, 2016 it became known that deputies of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan prepared proposals for amendments to Article 239 of the Criminal Code (creation non-profit organization that infringes on the personality and rights of citizens).
Currently Crimes Part 1 Art. 239 of the Criminal Code (creation of a religious or public association whose activities involve violence against citizens or other causing harm to their health, as well as the leadership of such an association) are punishable by a “ fine in the amount of up to 300 thousand rubles or in the amount of wages or other income convicted for a period of up to 2 years, or by restriction of liberty for a term of up to 4 years, or forced labor for up to 4 years, or imprisonment for the same deadline ." MPs propose to take into account accumulated experience of law enforcement agencies "and increase the fine to 500 thousand rubles, and term of imprisonment - up to 6 years, otherwise "the article works inefficient."
Those who violated Part 2 of Art. 239 of the Criminal Code (creation An NPO or a structural subdivision of a foreign non-profit non-governmental organization whose activities are associated with the incitement citizens to refuse to perform civic duties or to commit other illegal acts, as well as the leadership of such an organization or structural subdivision) deputies of Bashkiria propose to punish with a fine of up to 300 thousand rubles or imprisonment for up to 4 years (instead of the current 200 thousand and 3 years in prison).
Recall that in Bashkiria there is an experience of applying this article to the leaders of the religious movement "Horde".
