Nizhnekamsk: Court in the case of publishing a video and audio recording on a social network

At the end of October 2016, a trial in the case of a resident of Nizhnekamsk began in the Republic of Tatarstan Iskanderov, accused of publishing a video and audio recording calling for religious hatred.

At the end of October 2016, the Nizhnekamsk City Court began considering the criminal case of Iskanderov, accused under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting ethnic and religious hatred).

According to the materials of the criminal case, the young man posted in the public domain on his page on the social network a video and an audio recording "calling for ethnic and religious hatred."

Religious expertise found in the materials "statements of a hostile and derogatory nature towards Christians and Jews", as well as "representatives of a social group of unbelievers" and calls for hostile actions "against persons of another non-Muslim religion."
