Vladimir Putin took ninth place in the ranking of the highest paid leaders of states. This was reported by the French edition of Les Echos together with the specialized STATISTA service.
As it became known, Putin’s annual salary is $ 136 thousand. Putin receives less Italy Matteo Renzi: $ 125 thousand, and the leader of the US President Barack Obama has $ 400 thousand.
The second place in the ranking was taken by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau: his annual salary is $ 260 thousand. Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, was the highest paid leader in Europe, taking third place: $ 234 thousand.
The ranking took into account the annual salaries of the leaders of the "influential" world states for 2016.
