Prosecutor's office announced the initiation of proceedings under Art. 20.29 Code of Administrative Offenses in respect of a follower Jehovah's Witnesses from the village of Kurdzhinovo.
21 November 2016 Prosecutor's Office of Karachay-Cherkessia reported that in relation to a resident Kurdzhinovo village, Urupsky district Svetlana Kordiaki initiated an administrative case Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (storage of extremist materials for mass distribution). The case is reported to have been referred to the Magistrates' Court.
Prosecutor's office indicates that the test carried out in cooperation with the border control department FSB and the Center for Countermeasures extremism of the republican government Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, showed that Kordiaka stored prohibited materials for the purpose distribution among Jehovah's Witnesses and other citizens. What kind of materials in question, not reported.
Recall in October 2016 to responsibility for the same article for distribution materials of Jehovah's Witnesses was attracted another resident of Kurdzhinovo, Nadezhda Geraskov.
IN 2012 in Kurdzhinovo local community Jehovah's Witnesses were fined for storage of extremist materials.
We We consider it unlawful to ban literature Jehovah's Witnesses and Persecution believers for its dissemination and We perceive these actions of the authorities as religious discrimination.
