On December 6, 2016, operatives of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for to combat extremism conducted a search in the Lokomotiv Fan House and several other addresses. Investigative actions were carried out on the case, initiated under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred) in fact chanting xenophobic slogans against Albanians at the Lokomotiv-Skenderbeu match.
Recall that on October 1, 2015 in Moscow, at the match between Lokomotiv and Skenderbeu (Europa League), the hosts' fans shouted the Serbian chant "Kill sheptar" ("Kill the Albanian") and "Kosovo - Serbia". The match was interrupted due to shouting. The delegate of the match, Michal Listkiewicz from Poland, interpreted the chant as calling for violence and inciting ethnic hatred. Referee Orel Greenfield also agreed during the game that the chants were racist (read more about the match here ).
During the searches, law enforcement officers searched for materials extremist nature, prohibited literature, symbols, materials, that may be relevant to the case.
At the Lokomotiv Fan House four fans of the club were detained, incl. drummers and loaders, and two of them are the leaders of the Vikings group of fans. The detainees were taken to investigators to carry out the necessary investigative actions.
