In St. Petersburg, anti-Semitic doctors “joked” at a journalist beaten by an NOD member

On December 11, 2016, during an LGBT rally in St. Petersburg, members of the National Liberation Movement hit the freelance correspondent of Kommersant, David Frenkel, accompanied by an anti-Semitic insult. The arriving police officers took the photographer to the department, refused to accept his statement, threatened to send him to a psychiatric hospital and called an ambulance. The doctor and orderlies used physical force against D. Frenkel, threatened him, joked about his Jewish origin, the “Christmas seder” and circumcision.

December 11, 2016 in St. Petersburg was held unauthorized LGBT march. The action was picketed by the participants National liberation movement. At the end of the procession, the picketers got into a skirmish with LGBT activists. All this began to shoot a freelance Kommersant correspondent David Frenkel.

One of the NOD members hit the camera first, then himself photographer, while the NOD members called D. Frenkel a "Jew".

The journalist turned to the police, who did not detain attacker, so Frenkel called the outfit. The police arrived and took department of the photographer himself, refused to accept his application, threatened sent to a psychiatric hospital and called an ambulance. The doctor and orderlies applied to D. Frenkel physical force, threatened him, joked about his Jewish origin, "Christmas Seder" and circumcision.

Since D. Frenkel's parents were in the department, he eventually released. The journalist went to the emergency room, where he recorded beatings.
