Fine for Nazi symbols on social networks

In the Orenburg region, E. Demin was fined for displaying Nazi symbols on a social network.

On December 1, 2016, the Orenburg District Court fined E. Demin under Part 1 of Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (public display of Nazi symbols). The court took into account that the offense was committed for the first time. The amount of the fine was 1 thousand rubles.

The prosecutor's office of the Orenburg region found that Demin had posted images with Nazi symbols in public access on his page on the social network for three years.

On December 27, 2016, the court verdict entered into force.
