Another opponent of military operations in Ukraine is being persecuted for displaying Nazi symbols.
December 26 2016 magistrate court district No. 4 of the Kirovsky district of Perm considered case under Art. 20.3 Administrative Code (demonstration Nazi symbols) against the local resident, twenty-year-old Maxim Simonov. The court came to the conclusion that it had no right to consider the case under this article and transferred it to the Kirovsky District Court. Simonov charged with two publications on his pages in the social network "VKontakte". In the spring of 2015, he reposted on his page entry from the group "Cozy Lurkomorye". The text began with the words "Hello. I am a Moscow occupier. It so happened historically. I occupied Siberia..." and ended with the words "Without respect, around the world. Moscow occupier" . The text was accompanied by an illustration - popular picture with the word "fascism", converted into "rashism", two-headed an eagle and a coat of arms with ears of corn, in the center which the swastika is located.
Second publication - book cover photo, discovered by Simonov at the bookstore collapse during a trip to Kyiv in the summer of 2015. On the cover books swastika, hammer and sickle and modern Russian coat of arms.
Recall we oppose persecution Art. 20.3 Code of Administrative Offenses of Opponents of Military Actions in Ukraine who use the Nazi symbolism as a polemical device, accusing the Russian authorities of being committed politics of totalitarian regimes. Obviously, what is a demonstration of Nazi symbolism has nothing to do with Nazi propaganda. Unfortunately, Russian law punishes demonstration of extremist symbolism without regard to context.
