Buzzfeed: FSB hacked Telegram

The Federal Security Service of Russia was able to hack Telegram. This is stated in the report of a former intelligence officer of Great Britain, published by BuzzFeed.

The document notes that Telegram was interested in the FSB due to the fact that the messenger was used by Russian activists and opposition. “The Telegram commercial service was of particular interest to the FSB cyber operatives and was an important goal, including because it is actively used by Russian politicians and opposition,” the report says.
