Peskov: The ban on broadcasting "rain"

“The destructive line of the Ukrainian side continues,” Peskov said.

On Thursday, the National Broadcasting Council of Ukraine ordered providers to stop the broadcast of the Rain television channel. The decision was made due to the “non-recognition by the channel of the sovereignty of Ukraine” and the broadcast of Russian advertising.

“In particular, on the air of this television channel, the administrative border between the Kherson region and the AR Crimea was depicted as the border between Ukraine and the Russian Federation,” the council noted.

Ukraine has repeatedly noted violations of the law on the part of the channel during 2016. As explained in the National Council, journalists of the television channel, in particular, “illegally” visited the territory of Crimea from Russia.
