The US Senate accepted the first steps towards the cancellation of the healthcare reform of President Barack Obama. According to The Business Insider, the senators voted to adopt a budget resolution, which will launch the process of cancellation of the Affordable Care Act health system, known as Obamacare.
The resolution was adopted by receiving 51 votes “pros” and 48 “against”. After that, the preparation of the bills necessary to cancel the reform and the transition to the new system will begin in the relevant committees.
The elected US President, Republican Donald Trump, has stated many times that he intends to abandon Obamacare and develop a less expensive and more effective healthcare system.
