The Moscow City Court recognized as legal the warning from the Prosecutor General's Office issued to Jehovah's Witnesses

The appeal of the Administrative Center of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia was dismissed.

16 January 2017 Moscow City Court recognized as legal invalid warning carrying out extremist activities, issued by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation to Witness Administration Center Jehovah in Russia. So Thus, the Moscow City Court approved a similar solution Tverskoy regional court Moscow from October 12, 2016, rejecting Jehovah's Witnesses appeal. Representative the plaintiff in court stated that the managerial center of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia committed any acts of extremist character, and the accusations of followers of Jehovah's Witnesses of extremist activities "are based on false evidence, planted literature and false fabricated testimony" . Organization intends to appeal the decision of the Moscow City Court in the Supreme Court and in the future, perhaps at the European Court of Human Rights.

According to federal law "On counteraction extremist activity" the warning will not be recognized by the court illegal, and indicated in the warning prosecutor's office violations will not be eliminated, or if in the activities of the Management center of Jehovah's Witnesses will be found new signs of extremist activities, the organization is subject to liquidation.
