Another suspect of involvement in Hizb ut-Tahrir was arrested in St. Petersburg

Petersburg arrested and placed under arrest a suspect in cooperation with Hizb ut-Tahrir, a citizen of Tajikistan.  

January 19, 2017 employees of the St. Petersburg Center "E" and police detained a 45-year-old on suspicion of creating a Hizb ut-Tahrir cell citizen of Tajikistan Farkhod Nurmatov.

The detention took place as part of the investigation of the case under Part 1 of Art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Organization of the activities of a terrorist organization and participation in the activities of such an organization"), under which they were convicted already several people, including Sergey Yablokov , with whose mother F. Nurmatov was in an unregistered marriage. By   In this case, F. Nurmatov was first held as a witness.

On January 19, the Kirovsky District Court chose as a measure prevent arrest until March 17, 2017.

Recall that we consider it unlawful to accuse members of Hizb ut-Tahrir of promoting terrorism only on the basis of party activity (holding meetings, reading literature, etc.) and persecuting them under anti-terrorist articles. Sources
